Right! I assumed Daudi was flossing because it is the #1 thing to do. (sorry I didn't mention that first).

Disturbing plaque keeps it from re-forming. There are tablets that will turn plaque red so you can 'see' where it is to be able to remove it better. (sorry, I forgot what they're called) Ask your dentist, hygenist or see if your local pharmacy carries them.
Two other things dentists have told me to do if my gums are a aproblem:
1. place a used teabag on the gum for 20 minutes to 2 hours to draw out the infection.
2. gently place your thumb on one side of your gum and the forfinger on the other, (straddling the teeth), beginning from the back of a row of teeth, massage gently to tone the gums.
