Re: Hopinso - Negative Calorie Diet
I lost fifteen
pounds in just over a week with the Cabbage Soup diet and kept off ten pounds. With
The Master Cleanse "fast" I lost about twelve
pounds in the same period of time and gained half of it back. You can Google "negative calorie diet" or "Cabbage Soup Diet" and get recipes and a book to download. However, I would suggest that you get a copy of Joel Fuhrman's "Eat To Live" and study it. The book has a lot of reader friendly scientific information on the diet and how it works. It combines nutrient dense vegetables, a total elimination of refined foods and animal products (at least for the first six weeks). Fuhrman claims the vegan diet is negative calorie. I have to admit I grew very tired of the diet after three weeks. Not only was I tired of the foods, but have also been physically exhausted for the last ten days or so, it seems all I do is go to work then come home and sleep, hardly a life. Anyway I am adding a few grains and occasional lean meat or dairy to the diet and feel much better although my rate of weight loss has slowed dramatically.(Actually this is in line with his maintenance diet, but not in the initial six weeks for rapid weight loss) Mike is also doing the Fuhrman diet and seems to be faring much better than I. I hope he will see this post and respond too. He's the one who got me reading Fuhrman and his theories on diet and fasting.
By the way-I took my own advice and went and bought more Bragg's apple cider vinegar today. I'm going to see if the vinegar drink will liven me up a little, problem is, I forgot to get some raw honey. Might have to try my favorite sweetener, Sucanat until I find some raw honey I can afford.
