Is ketosis the goal of fasting? Is it a by-product of fasting? Is it harmful in a fast?
Does anyone here test their urine to monitor for ketones? I did today, and I'm spilling somewhere a little more than trace but a little less than mild. It did pick them up, to be sure. But I don't know if they are helpful or harmful, and about where I should be aiming to keep my level at. Do I need to be spilling more to make this fast more successful? Am I taking in too many calories through the juice to lose weight? I just don't know.
I would think that you would want your body to be in some degree of ketosis, since that means you are moving into your fat stores for energy. But I am just not sure to what kind of degree. If anyone has an information about this, or especially any links, please send them my way. Thanks!
