what i think is that someone needs to do some experiments with thses juicers because this idea that this supposed "extreme" temperatures generated by centrifugal juicers destroy nutrients sounds good, but i am not really buying into it now. the thing is that the omega, which has a low rpm and always boasts that because of this it doesn't destroy nutrients like the jack does, but the omega uses pressure to squeeze out the juice. well, hey pressure creates heat just like the high rpm's do. i honeslty don't know.
i doubt a $100 jack makes juice that is any better than a $40 juicer. but the jack will last longer that is all.
yeah those hand juicers are a workout!! i have used them to juice wheatgrass, but it gets old after a while!
