Veggies? Of course, if you are fasting you mean veggie juices.
Stay away from chicken anything... stick to fruits am, veggies pm. Juice fasters traditionally make an excellent potassium rich broth, which can be used as part of your daily juice intake:
2 large potatoes, scrubbed but not peeled, chopped to 1/2" pieces
1 cup carrots, shredded or sliced
1 cup beets, shredded or sliced
1 cup celery, leaves and all, chopped to 1/2"
1 cup other vegetables (beet tops, turnips, parsley, garlic, cabbage etc.), chopped
Add a big pinch of cayenne for extra cleansing.
You can make great broth with just the potatoes, carrots, beets and celery.
In a non-reactive (not aluminum!) pot, add 1-1/2 qts purified water to the vegetables. Cook slowly for 1/2 hour-45 min. let stand half an hour, then strain, cool and store airtight in the fridge or serve hot, warm or cold. You can add a small amount of uniodized Sea Salt , but go easy.
This is a wonderful cleansing and alkalizing drink which supplies a great deal of vitamins and minerals particularly important for establishing and normalizing chemical balance in the tissues as you fast.
Be sure to keep your colon clean each day you fast, and enjoy the sensation of becoming lighter and lighter each day, mentally, spiritually and of course, physically!
Learn as much as you can about detox symptoms, so you are prepared to deal with them as they arise. You should NOT break your fast when you are ill or feeling low! Wait until you are feeling well and clear to break, and break carefully! If you have any questions about how, let me know.
