Coconut oil is very antibacterial. It may be killing things that where under the surface of your skin. This is probably temporary and you should try to keep using it for a few more weeks to see what happens. I have used coconut oil on my face for several months and although it didn't have the same effect it has on you, as in I still have pimples...it definitely didn't break me out any more and I think it helped them to heal. If you don't want to use it on your face then eat it. It is also very healthy to eat and cook with it. It doesn't cause artery clogging or heart attacks like many say. I have used it for over 6 months and haven't gained a pound and feel good. When cooking only use coconut oil...it is non-toxic and will not turn rancid after cooking as do all other oils including olive oil. Olive oil is great as long as you don't cook it. Cooked it is very toxic. If you do use coconut oil try to work your way up to 3 tbsps a day...don't take it all right away as you may have detox symptoms since it helps to kill bacteria, viruses and fungus and help to cleanse the liver. You can also rub it all over your body as a lotion and put it in your hair as a conditioner. When I have time I put it in for a 1/2 hour and then wash it out. Sometimes I leave it in all night and then wash it out in the morning. My hair feels fantastic afterward. I hope this helps and good luck.
