Re: Recurring cyst
I get the same things on my face and I hate them. I will get the cyst in the same place about once a month. the only thing that stops it is if it finally pops on its own, or if I freak out and lance it. Which I know is bad, but but sometimes when I get a huge, disfiguring lump on my face I just can't help it.
Anyway, to answer your question, the problem is that you have cystic acne. Mine usually are worse the week before I get my period - don't know if you're male or female, but that's just when I get mine the worst. Some things I've read say not to use microdermabrasion as it can make cysts worse, but I don't normally have more than one cyst at a time, so I still use microdermabrasion on the other parts of my face. There's really no way to treat it with a topical medication, since the cyst is so far under where a cream can reach.
since you are only getting this one cyst, I would say a trip to the doctor is your best bet. They can lance it for you, or give a cortisone shot which can lessen the inflammation. I refuse to try medications like Accutane, but it may work for you. I myself find that following a well balanced diet and taking supplement that are skin-friendly help me the best. I take biotin and omega-3.
