Re: Has anyone cured their rosacea through a liver/colon cleanse?
Hi, Jen! So glad you've been enjoying life since we last spoke! Lots of changes, eh? I've been continuing with the homeopathics. I'm on a new regimine now. The doctor I'm seeing is in Minneapolis, which I imagine would be out of your range, if you'll be in Florida. He's an intuitive physician, and I'm not sure how many of those there are in the U.S. That said, perhaps any good homeopathic physician could do a constitutional analysis and find out what your body needs.
I'm on a new homeopathic regimine now, including three more unda remedies (1, 12, and 20), silicea 30k, and natrium muriaticum (cell salts). Interestingly, as the physician predicted, I've been experiencing all sorts of emotions related to my past and healing lots of old "psychic wounds." Healing can be such hard work. ;-)
I've also begun the
colonic routine. I've had three so far, and they do seem to help. The Body Ecology Diet, with its cultured vegetables and coconut kefir has been very helpful too, though I'm finding myself becoming a little rebellious about the restrictions. I still think
Liver Cleansing is the ultimate cure, but the doctor says that I just need to wait for the homeopathics to do their work.
I've read the posts in this forum from Midlothian Girl, and I admire the success she found when dedicating herself to liver and colon cleansing. I'm going to stick with the homeopathics for eight months (the timeline he gave me when I began treatment), and if I'm not better by then, I'll go for the
Liver Cleansing series, along with the Chinese Bitters she took. If you're not finding help in the world of homeopathics, you might just want to try the
Liver Cleansing route.
Overall, my face is improving. I had a bout with a serious flu bug recently, and the high fever seemed to bring the rosacea back with a vengence -- with lots of bumps, too! So that's clearing now, but I seem to re-inflame it when I do my dietary rebellion routine. I really need to stop that.
Anyway, life goes on. I've had advice that letting go of self-hatred and shame can be the cure for rosacea. No problem! I've also heard that rage therapy can help, because the face is holding the anger. (Liver, by the way, is supposed to be the organ of anger, they tell me, so perhaps doing a liver cleanse also clears out some strong emotions?)
This is a long and interesting road we're on. I'm trying to see it in that light -- that I'm learning so much because of my red face. Sometimes, I'm successful. Other times, I have some trouble looking on the bright side.
I know I haven't been much help, but I am excited for you with the wonderful changes in your life! I'll bet you find someone who can help -- or you'll do the liver cleanse like Midlothian Girl and clear up after several of those. Please keep in touch! I'll keep you posted, too.
