Re: Help Needed
Are you using moisturizer and makeup at the same time? You'll need to keep in mind that both or either can be contributors. I've had decent success with the tinted Burt's Bees moisturizer and don't layer on the moisturizer and then foundation anymore.
It doesn't seem to make the
Acne worse but I've been doing other things at the same time to work on the
Acne such as Yoanna Skin Care cleansers which are all natural and hypoallergenic. The cucumber and aloe vera toner work great. I also have highly sensitive (contact dermatitis), combination skin so I can definitely tell the difference between the Yoanna stuff, over the counter stuff, salon stuff such as dermatologica and prescription cleansers. These are so far are the best I've found.
The compound pharmacy where I purchase the Yoanna products was out of the moisturizer so I haven't purchased that particular product. I found the Yoanna site online. There's cucumber pearl and aloe moisturizers for combo skin that look about right. I'd try that (actually I may order myself). Also, try adjusting your diet to include more raw vegetables and fruits. I recently did
The Master Cleanse fast and have been
juicing and eating lots more veggies. It's made a tremendous difference in combo with the cleansers. The small
Acne rash has definitely improved. And I'm still dealing with the hormone induced cystic acne on my jaw and neck. I've had three hormones tested and my progesterone is really low so I'm now also using a topical natural progesterone cream and hope to see improvement there in a couple of months.
Good luck on your search! If there's one thing I've learned is that acne and acne healing solutions are different for every individual. Here's the Yoanna site -
http://www.yoannaskincare.com/ if you want more info on it. Looks like their prices are the same as the pharmacy prices. There may be local compound pharmacies or salons that carry it in your area too.
