Re: Killer race...

About two years ago, I saw an interview where Tom Brokaw was being interviewed by another reporter. The discussion was about how the public recieves (understands) the information that the media gives us [it]. He started by saying,..."Well, as you know, the world consists of perception as much as it does reality". That says a lot. People tell their lies AND love them because they can't hack reality and need to form their own world. They NEED to form their life a certain way because they are not like you and me. We are disgusted with reality because we see it for what it really is,...non-sensical, stupid, idiotic, greedy, hateful, corrupt, etcetera. But, at least we have the guts to see the truth and deal with it instead of cop-out and live in a phony PERCEPTION constructed by lies. Instead of being genuinely compassionate and helpful to someone, many people will lie and be nicey-nicey, saying things in order to be "politically correct" (the real meaning of politically correct is ...to treat and think of a person only as a political item, kind of like when people try to prove that their not prejudice in order to look "good". Many people tell so many lies, they end up living a phony existence and having a false self esteem and a damaged ego (sorry excuse for an individual). So, what you said about people "liking their lies", is a pretty good observation. Kind of makes you appreciate not being like everybody else, huh? Yeah, I'm like that too, an independent thinker. People don't just love their lies, they LIVE them. I wouldn't really be saddened by dying from lung cancer either (the air is dirty enough to kill us from pollution in 20 years), if only it was quick like a bullet. Yeah, I'm a cynic, but not out of "contempt", I'm a cynic out of "disappointment" in it.

been there, done that
