yes, I have this book as well. Actuallyu, the first person to write about the Coconut Diet is Bruce Fife; he has a very good diet plan inhis book "Eat Fat Look Thin" which worked for me - I lost 20 pouinds using this diet plan. Another coconut diet is by Cherie Calbom; hers is a low-carb diet.
I would definitely recommend the Yahoo Open Group above any other coconut oil discussion group, as it is unaffiliated with any particular brand of coconut oil and the discussion is free - i.e. all messages come through, unlike in the group moderated by Tropical Traditions, which selects messages to be posted.
Basically, coconut oil increases the metabolism and is digested differntly to othet fats, and really does help in losing weight. Mary Enig/Sally Fallon's book is excellent!
