Use of Coconut Oil on Skin

Hi Everyone,

I've seen numerous references to using coconut oil on the skin, with people mentioning its rapid absorption and lack of oily residue. Unfortunately, I haven't found that to be the case. I had ordered some oil from www.coconutoil-online.com and when I applied it, I found it left a residue that lasted for hours. I have been in the habit of covering myself with body lotion everyday, so I thought something with the benefits and smell of coconut oil would be great. But so far this doesn't look like something I can really use for that purpose. Anyone have any input? Why has my experience been so different from that of others here?

Thanks to everyone for all your help. I hope to contribute more to this forum I so recently discovered. :-)
