Cracks/lines on fingertips

Since I started zapping I have have fine vertical lines on the skin on my fingertips. I'm sure I have read at some time that this is caused by a deficiency of something although they only appeared when I started zapping?!

My nails also cracked and broke away after previously having been strong.

Does anyone know what this could be as it is worrying me! :(
