Yoda, this recipe is from 'The Natural Foods Cookbook' by Jean Hewitt. (Modified)
1/2 C peanut and safflower oil (I use coconut oil only)
3/4 C brown Sugar (I use 1 1/4 C honey)
1/2 C non-fat dry milk solids (I use 1/2 to 1 C coconut milk, depending on the consistency ur looking for)
1/2 tsp Sea Salt
1 tbsp vanilla
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 C Wheat germ flour or whole wheat flour with wheat germ
1 C carob nuggets
1/2 C walnuts chopped (my added ingredient)
1. Preheat the oven to 350
2. Mix together the oil, honey, salt & vanilla.
3. Combine the baking powder, flour, carob & walnuts. Stir into batter. Drop by teaspoonsfuls, two inches apart, onto buttered bakin sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until done.
