You are so right about the false prophets, although they were always around, they are just gaining in popularity in these modern times because society is hurting more than ever nowdays and searching for a type of spirituality that can be understood scientifically. INSTITUTIONAL Christianity (the type that has been traditionally taught in churches) has never exclusively addressed the 'heart of society' and taught CONSCIENCE and sorrow to address the suffering of the people. The Body of Christ (the true church) has always focused on developing an ability to count the demerits of 'sin' (a violation of any CODE, the Ten Commandments are God's code of perfection and no human being can comply perfectly) instead of developing a conscience in order to righteously avoid causing evil. Traditionally, institutional Christianity has embraced the 'milk' of "the elementary doctrine of Christ" Hebrews 6:1) with empirical thought and the brethren made their "goodness by compulsion" (Philemon verse 14). The god of confusion (satan) has hidden many truths for centuries (Adam and Eve did not eat of the tree of good and evil, but the tree of the KNOWLEDGE of good and evil, extremely important when you see why the KNOWLEDGE of good and evil is so important...Hebrews 5:14). We should be able to stand before The Lord with a clear conscience, and by rejecting conscience, some have made shipwreck of their personal relationship with God (1 Timothy 1:19). Traditionally, my brethren have somehow chosen to fear and love God at the same time (disregarding 1 John 4:18 and Isaiah 29:13, the god of confusion has been very successful) and think that Mark 12:30 is a command to love God (the METHOD of loving Him is being commanded, God knows that all who read the bible are mindful of Him). Their scientific approach to Godliness has allowed them to think that there are types of love (agape, philos, eros and storge are types of love RELATIONSHIPS, not "love" itself). Through all of this, they have not been able to discover "the depths of God" (1 Corinthians 2:10). They choose to know Him as 'Overseer', instead of loving FATHER ("...that God may be everything to everyone", 1 Corinthians 15:28).

Your hesitation to let your heart and MIND (Romans 12:2, "...be transformed by the renewal of your MIND") be satisfied by this scientific approach to God makes you more of a Godly person than those who think God can be defined by a book, so this day is worthy of a double celebration for you my friend.
