A completely non-partisan (generic) view of God is necessary.

The CONSCIENCE of the Zealot

Jesus Christ's death on the cross was a mission from the heavenly Father, but the other characters involved that were included in the story of Christ's death were deliberately added for a reason and must not be ignored, for those characters illustrate some of the stumbling blocks the effects of 'human nature' have on all who will love 'the truth' (John 14:6).

It is very clear that Caesar and Pilate reresented the indifference and tolerance of the 'state' (official public) towards Jesus, but the final 'nail in the coffin' came from the more militant and partisan voice of the people seeking their own good.

Judas only represented the temptation that all of the 'treasurers' of this world face and can cause them to completely forsake The Lord, but the lesson of the Zealots illustrates the subtle and shortsighted distractions of partisanship that are the final "nail in the coffin" for those who choose to exalt 'the people' instead of exalting The Lord. It is only the man OF GOD that may be COMPLETE (2 Timothy 3:17), not the man of "the people". The Pharisees represented the outright pious rejection of The Lord (the rejection was another "treasurer" TYPE rejection, but was mixed with piety and simply 'disguised' by heavenly devotion), it was the Zealots devotion to a WORDLY cause (instead of THE heavenly cause) that is the danger to the Christian today.

Our intention to be God'ly' is not expressed properly when we say that we want to be
"like God", it doesn't UNREASONABLY and without a doubt express that we recognize that we are not 'as a god' and do not posess all of the powers and majesty of The Creator. It is not just a matter of respect toward The Creator, but, since we human beings don't just SAY our words, we unintentionally end up LIVING them. I used to think that this was a 'moot' (senseless) principle, but we INADVERTENTLY develop the wrong attitudes that it's something that "WE choose" to be that The Lord wants. In The Lord, PHYSICALLY, we retain an individuality, but, SPIRITUALLY, we are all one (in His Body), we are all MEMBERS, but OF His body (one). The problem is a principle of grammar, we speak of ourselves in the 'first person' at the same time that we refer to others ( "WE" [the plural] include ourselves as part of a group while "WE" ourselves are actually an individual/singular). Since our identity is expressed ambiguously, it becomes very difficult for us as an individual to focus on giving The Lord our full attention (of course The Lord realizes this and has been patient with ALL humanity since the beginning of time MUCH more than we could ever imagine). I know that is a fantastic statement, but that's how gracious God is, His grace is not only expressed in scripture, but in His character. IN THE LORD (spiritually), it is not our place to "choose" to be ANYTHING (except part of Him), but, in this world, it certainly is (1 John 4:5, John 17:14). SEMANTICS (word usage) is very important in the study and analysis of knowledge and necessary for proper and effective communication. The god of confusion uses the weaknesses of our "natural limitations" that Paul spoke in Romans 6:19.

Now that we have God's living character to lead (teach) us in the ways of Godliness, we are no longer limited to do what David did in the Old Testament, and simply dance 'for' God, but we have the option to dance WITH God (it would appear that my zeal has driven me mad, Acts 26:24, but maybe for now I must learn to simply do what Enoch did and WALK with God). My zeal overwhelms me, but we should place no constraints on our love for The Lord, and that is exactly what partisanship is...a constraint.

The Lord never meant us to all be the same, loving (respecting) each other can only be done if we are different enough to have disagreements, I can only enjoy hearing DIFFERENT opinions, not "same" opinions. Thank you for disagreeing, as long as you do not place the people above The Lord and are passionate about what you believe (not lukewarm), we will both dance WITH Him.

God bless you, Gaylen.
