Re: Born Again
"A good person produces good deeds from a good heart, and an evil person produces evil deeds from an evil heart."
A very good discription of the "Tree of Knowledge".
A tree only bears fruit a few months out of the year. What if your looking for fruit when it's out of season. Can a person distinguish between an apple tree, a cherry tree, a pear tree... etc, in the middle of winter? Some may, others may not, the issue is not the fruit of someone else, but our individual occupation with Christ. We may see believers who are "out of season", but it doesn't change their roots. Col 3:4 When Christ,
who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory. None of us will bear fruit 24/7/365. Christ is The True Vine, The Father is The Vinedresser, we are the branches, The Vinedresser prunes the branch so The Vine can produce life as we abide in Him. Someone may be going through a pruning and we must be very careful not to judge, it may bring unnecessary discipline upon ourselves. On the otherhand, if someone professes to know God, it is right to pay close attention to the words they speak, to discern what spirit they are of. If they speak heresies and blasphemies we are to mark them and avoid them. We eat not from the tree of knowledge but from The Tree of Life.
