Klyd,
YOU WROTE: Mic. 5:2
The messiah (Jesus) had always been in existence
Micah 5:2
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, [though] thou be little among the thousands of Judah, [yet] out of thee shall he come forth unto me [that is] to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth [have been] from of antiquity, from days(#3117) of old(#5956).
The text here states that the messiah will come from David. The text does not state the messiah will be born in the town of Bethlehem, but that he will be from David who was born in Bethlehem. The text does not state that the messiah has always been in existence. David's goings forth from Micah's days were considered "days of old". Please review a contemporary of Micah's here:
Amos 9:11
In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
"Days of old" never refers to eternity/everlasting/etc.. The KJV would have done better to correctly translated Micah 5:2 as it did in Amos 9:11 for the exact same words.
