We cannot tailor the truth in order to be polite (politically correct. Human nature is that, even if we deny ego, our sense of self-esteem will (subconsciously) always motivate us to want to be "nice guys" (ALL is vanity, just a chasing after the wind. Ecclesiastes). We can't always "enjoy" such high worldly status, in fact, we aren't even supposed to aspire to it. Like I said before, if what we say to the unbeliever is meaningless to them, it will simply fall on deaf ears and they will not be bothered by it in the least, but, if it is meaningful to them, it will bother them because their "Walls of Error" are being battered. The truth hurts. Even though we are to present the truth for the reason of glorifying the Lord, we are never told to ignore our vanity (it is ESSENTIAL to our humanity), but if presenting the truth makes us "meanies", we are to "be all things to all men...".
