Re: 4 month old Infant has Eczema on Face

There are several natural options for rehydration that will greatly benefit your babies sensitive skin (even the area of the face) and promote skin healing. If your child is not sensitive to fragrance, the Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk lotion is an excellent option for rehydration and skin healing. Fragrance free options are Borage Dry Skin Therapy by Shikai (pediatric formula), and Colloidal Oatmeal Skin Therapy by Nature's Gate. All of these items can be purchased at your local Whole Foods market (a national health food chain).

Even more important than product name is the product ingredient. Here is a list of the vitamins and herbs that promote skin healing: borage oil, carrot seed oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, tea tree oil, aloe, calendula, chamomile, colloidal oatmeal, echinacea, fumaria, green tea, gingko biloba, ginseng, manuka, myrrh, rose hip, sambucus, witch hazel, and vitamins A-E. These natural ingredients provide such benefits as cellular regeneration, restoration of tissue integrity and a strengthening of blood vessel walls, which increases vascular resistance and improves skin circulation. They provide naturally anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-oxidant, and anti-fungal properties. They don't promote the harmful side effects of their synthetic copies because they work with the natural make up (natural body chemistry) of the human anatomy. This is not to say that natural products couldn't cause a negative reaction to the body. Allergic reaction to a particular ingredient is possible. However, and in that case, the allergen can be quickly identified and rid from the individual's environment providing clear wisdom as to what a person's particular allergen is and not promoting the long term damage caused by medicines that relieve the symptoms for which they were prescribed, while at the same time causing serious damage to other areas of the body. For example; the prescribed treatment for eczema sufferers is steroid/cortizone medications that suppress the symptoms of eczema flare up. In suppressing the flareup, they also suppress the immune system. Since the bodies immune system is the bodies defender against harmful allergens, bacteria, and toxins, then you can see how healing is compromised. My goal is to direct you towards skin healing, as opposed to symptom suppression. I have 3 nieces who prove that healing the skin of eczema is possible without the use of harmful medications. I hope that this will be the case for your child as well in the very near future.
