Re: Warrior Diet
Hi Siamese Warrior!
I'm familiar with this plan and I like it. I've been using it for about a month, and have lost 6 lbs; that is a huge amount for me as I have a very lazy metabolism. I usually eat 1/2 an apple, a handful of cherries, or a few nuts during the day; then after 5 pm I have some meat protein or a large salad or a bowl of mixed veggies. I have also used the cayenne/lemonade drink from
The Master Cleanse during the day, then a small meal at night. (Unlike so many, I love the taste of this drink.)
I find I have a lot more energy eating this way than I did when I tried to eat 3 small meals during the day. I find that eating a substantial amount of anything during the day now makes me sleepy and lethargic within an hour. I find I feel better if my main meal consists of only one type of food: either protein or complex carbs like veggies or salad. I don't know if food combining is recommended in the WD, but I feel best eating this way.
The WD was recommended to me by a friend who has spent a lifetime in the field of health and fitness. She said she lost 12
pounds without any restrictions other than eating very little during the day. I am not so lucky, since I don't tolerate wheat, corn, rice, beans, dairy or
Sugar without bloating up like a blimp.
I don't know how sound the premise of the Warrior Diet is; it seems to me that primitive man probably ate whatever he could get whenever he could get it. However, I do feel good using this plan of eating; I am losing some excess weight that has plagued me for over a year; and this is the ONLY plan that has helped in that regard. I've tried Atkins, low-cal and raw food diets without much success.
Good luck, and if you try the plan I would love to hear what your experiences are.
