I cope a different way. When I think of food that sounds really good I put it in the back of my food journal knowing that a week or two after the fast if I really want to I can eat it. I have been doing that since April when I started juice fasting and cut out dairy, Sugar and white flour products.
Lately the food I crave are salads, watermelon, a stir fry with lots of olive oil and garlic.
Another weird thing I enjoy is hearing my husband describe in detail what he had for lunch. (I am taking these ten days off kitchen duty and he has agreed not to make the kitchen smell good...so he eats his main meal at lunch or on the way home from work) When he has a great meal I really enjoy hearing about it...He stopped and got a sub a couple nights ago and I felt let down...no salad! no veggies!
