Well I tried using the Maple Syrup, previously I had made a batch of lemonade with sugar, got lambasted here, but it tasted great. So I made a batch with Maple Syrup, squeezed just a little extra lemon for taste. It was still awful, I dislike the taste of Maple Syrup but drank a half a cup anyway. Not too long after came the horrible stomach pain. I stopped using syrup 20 years ago when I determined that it was what was causing my terrible stomach pain every time I had pancakes, waffles, etc. I had hoped that after 20 years it would be okay but it's not. I got lambasted for using sugar, I bought honey but then read that I should never use honey, now I don't know what to do. My body obviously cannot tolerate the syrup, probably why I find the taste so repellant. Suggestions?
