Re: Yoga therapy in India

Parker,

The most reputable as I am aware is the Vivekanda organization in Bangalore. It is not the same as yoga therapy is practiced (generally) in the west. It is not like Phoenix Rising or thai massage. It is quite focused on research and is rather medical and disease-based, ie. applying meditation, asanas, pranayama for specific conditions, depression, alcoholism etc. It is a 6 month course and they insist you take their 1 month TTC first. They are very reputable and well-known. They are trying to conduct the type of research that will make the medical community take notice.

I'd love to take this course myself.

Here's some more info.
