Re: Mom needs help...
I have used Primal Defense and also heard success stories related to it. For me it only offered a small amount of relied, however, I don't want to discourage you from trying it because I have friends with Crohn's and IBS who claim that it cured them.
The unfortunate thing about Crohn's, is that some remidies work like magic for some patients but not at all for other patients. Thus there is no "silver bullet" that works for everyone. You just have to experiment with a bunch of different things until you find something that works.
There are a number of diets, including the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) that work wonders for some patients, but not at all for other patients. There is also a
Blood Type Diet that is supposed to help Crohn's Disease.
There was a fish oil study reported in the New England Journal of Medicine. The findings indicated that N-3 (Omega 3) fatty acids helped Crohn's Disease patients maintain remission.
I have tried about a dozen "miracle cures" including A*****ose, Ericsson's Coral Calcium, Yeast Cleanse, Therazyme, and have experienced some relief with each of these products, but nothing miraculous. On the other hand, I have read a number of testimonials claiming that these products completely cured Crohn's Disease. The bottom line is that they are probably worth trying.
Hope this helps!
