Hello Anon. I agree with eating sensibly and moderately and taking control is the key. However there are many issues associated with many foods where many folk don’t really know what’s going on, mostly due to misinformation, i.e. pasteurized milk, which can make you unwell, unwittingly. Also why be so aggressive about it, there is no need for it. Yes, I agree many ‘diets’ do not work due for various reasons but remember a FAST is not actually a diet, so why you screaming about Atkins on FAST/CLEANSE forum? Also I had a pal who Died not so long ago He always ate like a mouse, seriously, and was FAT. He Tried lots of diets and nothing would work for more than a few days usually due to his somewhat sporadic appetite. He even had tablets off the doctor to help metabolise fats, this made him ill after a few days as he was not actually consuming enough fats for the medication to work properly. People like you, used to go on about how he must eat in secret, how lazy he must be! He later discovered he was showing allergies to pasteurized/Homogonized products, sesame, MSG, White Sugar , white bread and a few other things. He only found these things out after years of feeling ill and depressed about putting more weight It turns out he had some kind of stomach/bowel issue that eventually turned out to be cancer and killed him finally, only weighing at about 8 stones down from 25 stone and just passing his 30th birthday.

Have you ever tried Master-Cleanse or FAST? The symptoms you experience are more like withdrawal not deprivation, from food filled with all sorts of nonsense usually. Once you have done a FAST/CLEANSE you usually stay eating more healthily because you feel so much better and happier and generally feel much better all round. Losing poundage is something that happens if you are overweight and more importantly it usually stays off in most cases and stabilises the weight. I myself lost 2st on my first cleanse and only put 3lb back on over 5-6 weeks and I ate pretty badly some days and did not go to the gym for over 4 weeks. On my next cleanse 7 weeks or so later I lost the 3lb after a day and lost another 1lb per day for over two weeks. Before my experience with Master-Cleanse I was taking medication for skin allergies, nasal mucous and IBS and a couple of other minor conditions related to allergies. My missus has also had good results with expelling lower back and hip pain by this same method. I myself no longer take any medication (well over 6 months now) as I no longer have symptoms and my attitude to food has changed completely. Whenever I do CLEANSE/FAST, even for a day, I feel better and so does every other person I have spoken to who has done Master-Cleanse for a good period of time. They will all also tell you MC is not a quick fix it is a serious decision to do MC and takes long term commitment to gain long term benefits. Also I never did enema, I only ever use SALT FLUSH/HERBAL TEA method but from what I hear enema can help introduce your body to the cleanse a little quicker by removing debris from the colon, not as a direct way of easing hunger or obtaining nutrients.

Finally, about taking control, Attempting a serious MC IS taking control of your health and food habits, you learn a great deal, for real not from books or other people opinions or industry facts, about yourself and your attitude towards food and health and funnily enough you learn quite a lot about other peoples attitudes toward food too and how we like to cling to ideas and habits rather than admit reality, amongst other things. If I were you Anon I would get some more understanding and do little more research for yourself before you go mouthing aspersions about how some of us managed to feel healthier and happier by incorporating MC into our lives.
