Re: Tomorrow I start.

Hi, I am finishing day 6 of my first fast, I am not experienced but after doing some research and talking to friends who have done it, this is what i do . . .

I drink the lemonade at different temperatures, I've never poured it over ice, but I've read somewhere on this forum about people who have, The only thing I would be careful about is to make sure you still drink all the pepper, it might stick to the ice. I've enjoyed using hot water at night and drinking it like a tea. I drink it slower that way, it seems to fill me up more, and I think it tastes good. (Although in my opinion the pepper is a little more prominent when it's hot, but I'm starting to crave that stuff)

I've done the salt water drink every morning. I've actually found that I like it better than the tea. On day three I woke up every half hour starting at 4 am from the tea (because of cramping in my stomach). So I took two days off from it and did only the salt water flush, which works, is less painful (no cramping). just make sure you give yourself 2 hours before heading out the door to make sure you are cleaned out. I actually did drink the tea again last night and was cramp free this morning, and am planning on continueing it for the rest of the fast. Unless the cramping starts up again.

I'm actually not doing the B&P shakes but I've read you start them the first day. Starting with one a day and working your way up.

Good luck! It'll be easier to do it with a partner, but I actually haven't found it that difficult, even when everyone around me is eating yummy smelling food.
P.S. you might want to keep a 'journal' just to keep track of how many/when you take your drinks, how you feel . . etc. it's interesting
