Sugar content of apples

Just FYI: I got curious and checked out the Sugar content. I found the glycemic index that uses glucose as its baseline. I doubt that it takes into consideration such factors as the fiber content and digestibility and it certainly can't account for the degree of ripeness of the apple, but apples are 38, pinto beans 42, navy beans 38, chickpeas 33. So that gives you some comparison for your bean question.
