Lemons bad for teeth?

I'm worried about all this acid being bad for the enamel on my teeth. What do you guys think? Isn't it eating it away a little? After a few glasses I get this horrible coating all over them...like gritty. It comes off when I brush but I was just wondering if the acidity in the lemons is bad.
