Re: I think I've killed my metabolism

Hi Erika,

Restricting your eating is never a good solution to weightloss. Initially you will lose weight, but the Lbs come right back. As you cut back on your meals the body goes into a statvation, -or famine mood. When you begin to eat regularly again, the body will hold on to every morsel of food you put into your mouth in fear of not not knowing when the next meal will be served . To rev up your metabolism you need to eat, and eat regularly. Eat small meals six times per day. It takes calories to burn calories! Exercising also helps the metabolism.

Do not omitt fat from your diet as this is nessesary for proper brain and nerve function. Udo's Perfected Oil blend is an excellent oil balanced in Omega 3,6,and 9. Two Tbs per day together with protein. Eat your protein meals for breakfast and lunch together with raw greens, and have your carb meal in the evening, preferably before 6 PM.

The "cleanse" should be done no less than 10 days, and it is vitally important to your metabolism to com off it s-l-o-w-l-y according to instructions!

As far as feeling hungry, the body does not initially differentiate between hunger and thirst signals. When we feel thirsty we are really dehydrated.Drink on a daily basis 1 qt of good quality water per Lb of body weight, or portion there of. It is advisable to take on a daily basis, theraputically, 1/4 tsp Celtic, real or Lima salt when one is drinking large amounts of water.
