It also depends on what fitness level/base level you are at. If you have been training consistently for many years, and slowly increasing intensity while decreasing rest, then your body can easily handle it (with appropriate time off during cycles for recovery). You must also make sure then you mix high intensity days, with low intensity days, or you will burn out.
