bodyweight excersizes are excellent!
but i got up to doing 800+ push ups and 200 pull ups a day and enough was enough!
it was taking forever to do these excersizes because the volume was going up soo high and it was no longer a 'short and intense' workout..it was now long and nausiating! i only work out once a week now and focus on recruiting as many fibers as possible-also on the peak contraction and getting the full stretch at the bottom.
Also i do high volume,high intensity of only a few excersizes.

military press- 6 x 5-6
15 sets of weighted pull ups- (reps vary) 25lbs x2-3
curls- 5x 8-10
