Speaking for myself

I WISH I exercised 5-6 days a week. I definitely think it's a major component of health. Let's just say 50% of the picture although I don't know any real way to calculate the balance.

I'm a member of a gym which is reasonably close to my home. It's one of those big fancy gyms, 3 levels, with lots of guys with big muscles in the weights sections, and lots of girls wanting to lose weight on the cardio machines. They have classes but I've never taken them.
I like to weight train, I try to lift as heavy as I can manage on my own. It's funny because I'm frequently the only girl in that section of the gym and I'm like a scrawny kid compared to some of those hulking men. But that doesn't intimidate me, so about 1 hour of that. There are also some "90-pound weakling" men who have joined, I feel rather sorry for them when I see them struggling with the weights I use, or doing less! At least I'm a girl!
After the weights, I usually do some cardio, 20-30 minutes on the elliptical trainer usually. Sometimes I like to finish that off with a 10 minute run (get those bones pounding). I see weight training and cardio of equal but different value, although I have a personal goal of wanting to increase muscle mass and strength, so given the choice I prefer to focus on weight training.

Sad to say, I average about 2 times a week to the gym. Some busy weeks, only once. Some good weeks, I go three times. I would like to go more but my school has literally kept me too busy, I can be at school 12 hours, from early morning until 8 pm, at which point I need to go home and collapse.
The break is coming up, I'm hoping I will be disciplined. And next semester should be a lighter load, but my membership at that gym should end by that time and I'm not sure I'll extend (several reasons).
I am living overseas in a big city right now, there's a pool at our apartment but I dislike swimming. It's always hot and lots of traffic, so I don't really enjoy going on walks down the sidewalk, and if I have time to go take a walk through a garden nearby then I have time to go to the gym. So if I'm gonna exercise, it will be at the gym. Although I do have the Billy Blanks Tai Bo workout video (advanced) and THAT is an awesome kick-butt workout!
