Re: High energy while doing one-day monodiets!
I don't know about weight loss, I haven't stepped on the scales in ages, looking in the mirror is enough. My focus is on toning muscle. I am sure that I lost a bit, between not taking in much, and also poo-ing out a fair amount, but probably by the time I ate the next day there wasn't much difference. I felt great though!
I suppose if you do a water-only fast (?) then you won't have much energy. But if you are gnoshing on fruit or salad or something like a monodiet then you should have plenty of energy.
Truth be told, I had MORE energy those days than usual. I am starting to realize how terrible "normal" food makes me feel. Every time I indulge in what most people eat everyday, I feel at least sluggish, sometimes horrible!
I recommend that some week you do two non-consecutive days of monodieting, just to try it out, and then from there you can figure out what you want to do. I think that would still count for life-extension because it is highly reduced calories. (1
Watermelon or 8 pears has nowhere near even 1,000 calories!) Actually, I have recently been thinking about doing something like "fasting" (or monodieting) one day a week. Problem is, I love to eat so darn much!
