Seizures and Allergies

I have posted a message about my son before and I appreciate all who responded. My son suffers from seizures, loss of speech, and many autistic-like qualities. However, in the last month we feel like we may have had a break through and would like to get some input from all who may have some knowledge of this. My wife and I began giving him Benadryl to control some cold symptoms about a month ago and he responded by not having any seizures for 5 days straight. We took him off of it for a couple of days and he had seizures almost immediately so we put him back on it and again he went 5 days seizure free. Now he has had 3 weeks in a row on having almost no seizures. It has been at least 2 years since he has gone that long seizure free. We feel like the Benadryl could be blocking an allergy that was causing the seizures. We called his neurologist and he basically just blew it off....wouldn't even listen. He has been tested by numerous doctors for tons of stuff but never by an allergist specifically for allergies.

Has anyone ever experienced or heard of anything like this?

Thanks again.
