Re: Distilled Water...Bob and Friends

Sharon-

We use distilled water for three reasons.

1. Recommendations of many natural health doctors, esp. Dr. Schulze & likeminded pros.

2. Any minerals we could get from drinking spring water we can most likely get from Superfood or other places.

3. Our tap water comes from a man-made lake which is fed by 2 rivers which converge here. Upstream from us are industrial plants, dairy farms, and feed lots. Our city officials issue a statement every year that cautions babies and the elderly and infirm not to drink the tap water. Cleaning up the lake is a hot political issue here, but I'm sure you know how hard it is to get so many vested parties to agree on anything.

We don't own a distiller. We buy from commercial venues using 5 gallon plastic containers, with the "right" kind of plastic that doesn't leach plastic into the water. We're using so much water that it's time to shop for a delivery route water vendor.

Also, where I used to reach for a Dr. Pepper, I now reach for a bottled water. Usually I see Dasani (made by Coke) or Deja Blue (made by Dr. Pepper). One day I was really bored (highly unusual for me ) and took a taste test with both brands. Personally, I found the Deja Blue to taste like plastic, and the Dasani didn't taste like anything-just wet.

Any opinions on the little bottles of water?

Blessings,
-Donna
