I finally got my shipment of lobelia among other things from blessed herbs, and I am thinking of making a tincture, but looking at different resources, I see a lobelia tincture made with apple cider vinegar only, and a lobelia tincture made with apple cider vinegar AND alcohol. I think I read somewhere that alcohol and ACV draws different properties from lobelia.
So my question is what is lobelia tincture with ACV without alcohol good for and what is the lobelia tincture with both ACV and alcohol good for?
Also I took a pinch of lobelia (ground seeds) and put it in my mouth, and it burns, like black pepper or cayenne (although the burn didn't last as long as cayenne would). Is this normal?
