Question about fertility

HI,

I have just turned 39, and would like to try for another baby. I already have two teenage sons, who are 14 and 15. I would really like a daughter.

I had no problem getting pregnant with my sons, as I fell pregnant on the first try with both of them. I know now that I am much older and will therefore not be as fertile. I am aware that my hormone levels are much lower. It takes me longer to become aroused and this is normally only with physical stimulation and my orgasms are not as enjoyable, because there is less blood engorgement. I noticed a change when I was 28 as I stoped producing copious amounts of mucus when sexually aroused.

What I would like to know is, does this mean my chances of getting pregnant are very very low? I still notice mood changes and my cervical mucus increases and bocmes clear and srtretchy about mid cycle for a day or so.My periods are regular, about four weeks apart and are heavy , although do not last more than four days from start to finish.

I know this is a difficult question as there is know definate answer. Does anyone have any insight? Tweet
