I'd read in a webpage the other day (but then stupidly forgot to cut and paste the link, oops!) that if you made up a mixture of lemon juice and olive oil and drunk this daily, it would act as a general liver and gallbladder cleanser?
The lemon would have to be organic, and after a good scrub it should be liquidized, skin and all, and then mixed with the olive oil (extra virgin of course!). This page also said if you drunk the mixture between meals it would help you to gain weight if you were underweight (which I am)? I'll try to find the link again tomorrow, it was on my work PC that I found the info, but hopefully get back to you then.
It does seem to be a strong link between candida and liver function though. A few years ago I was ill for a few weeks with what the doctor deescribed as 'acute viral hepatitis' - I felt absolutely awful, and a blood test confirmed that my liver was slightly 'down'. Sometimes I ge a horrible hair/body odour hanging around me, even though I'm scrupulously clean, but I've heard this can be a symptom of a blocked liver - it is so overwhelmed with processing dead candida and candida toxins it becomes blocked and your body has to find ways of getting rid of the muck, hence the horrible odour and spotty skin . . . that's my theory anyway!
