I'd like to thank everyone on the site for providing a great source of information while I've been 'lurking' for the past month! I've admired both Shellycat and Garcia in particular for their knowledge and support of others in the forum.
I've been on a strict anti-Candida diet for 4 weeks since a naturopath diagnosed my various health problems as Candida. I felt 100% better almost immediately by cutting out the 'bad' foods and taking the supplements that he recommended and to my amazement my symptoms all disappeared within the first week. I also took some food intolerance tests 3 weeks ago and discovered that I reacted quite severely to several things - wheat and tomatoes being just two of them. It has been hard to adapt to such restrictions when planning meals but I've tried to make sure I eat a variety of foods and keep my calories adequate for my needs. However for the last 3 days I have had the most atrocious bad breath, the kind I normally associate with someone who is not eating at all. This is confusing me because although I am losing weight (which I needed to)I am eating plenty each day. Does anyone know what this might indicate and how to stop it? Unfortunately my boyfriend has confirmed that it isn't just my imagination and my breath really does stink! LOL :o)
