There are things you need to know before doing a VBAC. 1) the incision into your uterus needs to have been sidways (not up and down). You can not assume based on the outer incision. 2)Pregnancy hormones can upset vaginal flora and many infections can arise. Get it diagnosed and treated -it could infect the baby etc. 3) A good midwife should be on hand in case you need her (especially since you have not had this experience). If you find a caring/experienced one and explain that you want to try just you and hubby with her in the wings in case you need her -she should understand. Where are you? If you are in N. Texas, I can recommend and excellent midwife experienced with VBAC deliveries.
