Mountain Dew said it right, the guy is "head over heels" in love with you. Take that "love" and work with it. From your post, it sounds like you just "settle" for letting him appreciate you for only one thing. Get him involved with what you do, (instead of letting him be by himself and wait for the chance to get his hands on you) so that he can actually "identify" with what you do and the responsibilities of managing a family. Stop being disgusted with what he does and start to appreciate him by including him in what has to be done around the house.
