Re: help I feel like crap!
I've never worried about the time of day when an enema might be most effective, whenever it is convenient and you are most relaxed and have some time is probably best. Some people like to take an enema before bedtime so they aren't sleeping with a load of waste inside them.
Until you get to the point to where you feel you are getting everything out, a daily enema is worth considering. Unless you are young and very healthy, I wouldn't recommend an enema more than a few degrees lower than body temperature.
During a colonic, once the client is pretty much cleaned out, the therapist will often gradually lower the inflow water temperature to somewhere around 92 to 97 degrees F to stimulate the muscles of the colon to contract. In some people this can be refreshing, but for others it can cause uncomfortable cramping and discomfort. In general, for an enema, I wouldn't recommend a solution cooler than about 95-97 degrees, at least the first time, and that should follow a cleansing enema administered at a temperature between 99 - 101 F beforehand.
