Re: day 4,should i continue? help!

Hi, Dana. Thank you so much for writing back--and you didn't tell me that I was going to die: to stop what I was doing immediately. Do you know what I mean? I worried that whoever I contacted was going to tell me I ought to stop, stop, stop. We're so funny. While I was at the festival yesterday I stopped at a naturopath's booth. He told me to stop--no more than a two day fast was what he said. And he had no great amount of information from me--just didn't like fasts. What I want and need is encouragement, not cautioning fear. Thanks so much. I walked away from his booth hoping he'd develop a better bed-side manner for the success of his business.

I haven't done the salt water. I have high blood pressure and decided against it. I've stayed on my bp med while doing the fast, but haven't done anything else. (I usually take 3 Advil each morning due to a fall and injury to my back a couple of years ago) But I haven't had any problems (at least I don't think so) with bowels. I drink Smooth Move, and with or without it, I think I'm okay at this point.

And that brings me to one other thing--funny how we forget it when it isn't there...I was having joint pain whenever it was time to go to bed. It took a couple of hours to finally get to sleep because the pain was so intense. It's gone away! Alright! And I didn't think of it because it didn't hurt anymore.

I hadn't read the book before last night, but an email address was posted that had an address telling where it was on the internet. (Actually, it might have been you that posted it) I had gotten the recipe I was using from another site that was called Master Fast. The writer said they were doubling the portions and I figured, then, that it was okay to do so. I just never expected to lose so much weight so quickly. I hear you encouraging me to use the actual portions. I'm fine doing that. This hasn't all been about losing weight at all--so much of it is spiritual and health comes into play as well. That means it might be better for my sweet body to take it a little slower. Maybe a lot slower. I've been checking my scale each day--keep thinking that it isn't working correctly. But it keeps giving me the same losses each time I step on it...

After I emailed you, I went to sleep. When I woke up, I felt much better. So it looks as if there's going to be a Day 7. I feel fine now. But I'm so glad to hear from you--encouraging. Talking about the fast with people who haven't done it just doesn't work well--quite the opposite.

And now I know that the fast is not all hearts and flowers, but that 'this, too, shall pass.'

Do you mind if I continue to write to you? Your support was better than anything else I could have asked for. So, you've done the Master Fast many times before, and you continue to help the rest of us. Then, you're a gift and it's good of you to do this for us. Thanks.

Lynne
