Re: dhea

Dear Johanna,

I am not a friend of messing with hormones. There may be short-term benefits. There is no sythentic substitute for the DHEA the body makes, and timing and dosage is always off. THese things work because they occupy the same cell receptors as the body own hormones. So you start feeling better, but in time, the body will make less and less of its own DHEAs because the recpetors are occupied with externally supplied ones. Short term benefit, long-term loss.

These ducts are very flexible. Just think of your own anus; when contracted it is closed. Yet, during a bowel movement it become wide open. Or think of the esophagus, vagina, uterus, the lymph ducts, and yes, the bile ducts. When Lillian passed that over two-inch stones, it came out effortlessly. The body is capable of doing some great internal acrobatics.
