Re: Nuclear Medicine Thyroid Scan
Radiating such sensitive glands is always detrimental to the cells that sustain them. They feel attacked and move into a defense mode. The radiation remains and builds up with subsquent scans. Mammograms, x-rays, ultrasound, MRI's etc. all represent invasive energies that are tremedoously more powerful than pure mechanical invasion. They influence the cell nucleus and force the DNA proteins to undergo changes that in turn can alter the genetic program itself. THere is no scientific research to date that shows any of these tools are safe, but there is increasing evidence that they are not. I genrally don't endorse the use of radiation.
The thyroid tends to malfunction when the lymph drainage from the intestinal tract is getting blocked (see details in my book The Aamazing Liver & Gallbladder Flush). This usually conoicides with backing up of waste, acids, dead and live bacteria, and toxins from the colon up to the stomach, chest, throat, neck and head. Improving digestive functions through liver flushing and changing diet/liefsytle to according to body type requirements (see Timeless Secrets of Health & Rejuvenation,
http://www.ener-chi.com) is a more effcient way to deal with thryroid issues than treating the thryoid directly. If you do wish to use iodine, SSKI iodide (=iodine) is quite effective for goiter. To truly heal the thyroid, you need to heal the diabetes and wake up the sleeping pancreatic cells (they aren't dead, just dysfunctional). Liver flushing and avoiding animal proteins as well as as any refined oils, such as canola oil, and unnatural fats, can get you there (see chapter on diabetes in Timeless Secrets...). Olive oil, coconut oil, unsalted butter, ghee, etc. are fine.
Your child's thyroid may have not had to chance to properly develop while in the womb due to your own condition. What applies to you also applies to him. Avoiding lymph-congesting foods like milk, dairy, meat, fish, eggs, soy, refined sugars, sweets, fried foods, etc. can prevent harming his thyroid.
