Re: a very sucessful detox may make you feel worse - temporarily!
Hi Mage,
Hope you're having a good day today and not feeling too under the weather :)
You said you've followed Cutler a bit, so I apologise if I tell you things you already know.
According to Cutler, DMSA and DMPS don't remove mercury from the nervous system, only ALA (alpha lipoic acid) can do this. He advises to take low (could be as low as 10mgs) frequent (every 3-4 hours) doses of ALA.
He says improper use of DMSA leads to frequent adverse reactions. He says DMSA should be used frequently to avoid adverse reactions (ie every 3-4 hours, including during the night).
He also says "NEVER use DMSA every other day" or have monthy injections of it. (I'm quoting from his book).
In his opinion, DMPS and DMSA should be used alongside ALA to support it as ALA is the main chelator (esp if mercury is in the brain).
I haven't started his protocol yet but probably will as I know mercury is behind my problems and what he says makes sense as it fits with my experience.
For some people it can take a while for mercury to come out, which will depend on many things, liver and adrenal capacity, electrolyte levels, emotional health and support. I'll be working on supporting my body through it like using saunas, skin brushing, epsom salt baths, diet and nutrition, addressing digestive issues, meditation and working on self-love and self-worth issues.
Anyway I felt I wanted to share this information with you to see if it shed any light on you getting worse after your chelation programme.
Take care
Anne
