JV, have you tried alternating hot and cold baths/showers? This works for a lot of people and I find hot/cold showers very energising though I'm not predominantly pitta. Hot and cold bathing (you actually need to buy a separate tub!) is extremely powerful. Or if you did go to a steam room or sauna, have a very cold shower straight away, making sure you're drinking plenty of fluids/EmergenC.
