Ringworm is a fungal infection not a parasite. It will itch and form a dry patch about the size of a dime. Later it gets a raised edge and may be a little red. You know you have it if you get itchy spots. Easy enough to get rid of just ask at the pharmacy for a cream. If you do catch it you'll probably only get one or two itchy spots. Wash your hands after playing with the kitten and avoid playing too much with it for a couple of days. On the kitten put the goo from the vet on any spots that loose their fur.
