First of all, please don't ever consider yourself or any question you ask here as something dumb!
Curezone is a friendly place where we can all feel free to share and learn. We were all newbies at one time.
You asked if you should user regular water for an enema. In your case I would suggest that you buy a bar of Ivory soap and stir it in a pitcher or bowl of warm filtered or bottled water at 103 degrees F until the water is milky in color. Use a bath thermometer to get the temperature just right.
After eliminating, a saline rinse is advised, but not essential. A saline solution is prepared using one teaspoon of sea salt or non-iodized table salt for each pint of water, or 4 teaspoons for a full bag.
The following links have good information about how to give yourself a safe, comfortable, natural enema.
